Malaysian Crime Watch Task Force (MyWatch) chairperson R Sri Sanjeevan has been arrested in Kajang today under Section 384 of the Penal Code for alleged extortion.
Bukit Aman secret societies, gambling and vice division (D7) principal assistant director Roslee Chik said Sanjeevan is expected to be charged in the Temerloh courts tomorrow over a case involving alleged extortion of a gaming centre operator.
Roslee also said the police have opened 20 investigation papers on him.
Sanjeevan's lawyer Gobind Singh Deo confirmed the arrest.
