Remember to top up your Touch 'n Go card before starting the balik kampung journey this Hari Raya Aidilfitri, as top up service will not be provided at toll plazas on the North-South highway.
PLUS Malaysia Bhd (PLUS) posted that drivers could instead use the Top Up Kiosks located at rest stops along Plus highways.
The temporary closure is meant to ensure smoother traffic, by not having the lanes slowed down by people wanting to reload their cards.
This is in effect for the duration of the Aidilfitri holiday, from May 30 to June 10.
Those traveling on the first day of Raya, June 5, will get a 20% toll discount when traveling along the PLUS and LPT2 highways between 12am and 11.59pm.
The 20% toll discount is for private vehicle customers travelling on the North-South Expressway (NSE), the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), the Seremban-Port Dickson Expressway (SPDH), the North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE), the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link Highway (Linkedua), the Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (BKE), the East-Coast Expressway 2 (LPT2) and the Penang Bridge.- Star
