PETALING JAYA: A poster circulating on Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) congratulating party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's swearing-in ceremony as the nation's 9th prime minister is fake.
AMK secretary Ahmad Syukri Razab said the poster is fake and the logo which was used on the poster is not the official logo of the PKR Youth wing.
"AMK urges all parties to not share the poster which may be created by irresponsible parties to disrupt the ongoing Federal Government transition process," he said in a statement on Thursday (Sept 24).
The poster purportedly by AMK congratulates Anwar over his alleged swearing-in ceremony as the 9th prime minister that would take place at Istana Negara at 10am, Friday (Sept 25).
Ahmad said they uphold the wisdom of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in the issue to choose the prime minister after Anwar had announced that he had obtained a comfortable majority to form the new federal government.
On Wednesday (Sept 23), Anwar claimed that he had the majority support to form the next government, adding that he has a "strong and formidable majority".
However, Anwar did not reveal the number of support that he has. - Star
