Covid-19 | As Kelantan breaks three digits in new daily Covid-19 infections, Galas state assemblyperson Mohd Syahbuddin Hashim confirmed today that he has been tested positive.
In a Facebook post, Syahbuddin said his wife, Nor Azila Sidi Ahmad, 40, has also tested positive for Covid-19.
"It is with utmost sadness (I announce)... today Abe Din (Syahbuddin) and wife have been confirmed positive.
"To all who had close contact with Abe Din and Cikgu Laa (Nor Azila), Abe Din apologised for causing trouble to all who are forced to be tested and might have been infected," he said.
"Gua Musang has been declared as a red zone, so everyone please be careful," said Syahbuddin who, together with his wife, will be reportedly quarantined at Hospital Sultan Ismail Petra (HSIP) Kuala Krai.
Two days ago, Nenggiri state assemblyperson Abdul Aziz Yusoff and Gua Musang Umno Youth chief Mohd Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani were tested positive for Covid-19.
According to Abdul Aziz's Facebook post, the two leaders are also currently being treated at HSIP.
The duo was previously involved in several flood relief efforts last week at Kampung Jeram Tekoh, Kampung Bertam Baru and Kampung Pasir Tumbuh.
Utusan Online previously reported that Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah has been identified as a close contact of Abdul Aziz, based on their attendance at a briefing said to be held in Kuala Lumpur last week. - Mkini
