Johor Bahru MP Akmal Nasir has questioned whether International Trade and Industry Minister Azmin Ali had violated the second movement control order (MCO 2.0) standard operating procedures after he attended a gathering.
Taking to Twitter, the PKR Youth chief shared a photograph of Azmin seated at a long table with five other individuals, believed to be taken during a function in Pengerang, Johor, today.
Azmin and the others in the picture were seen to be reading from a paper, with packed food and bottled water on the table.
"Heard there was a function with food (makan-makan) in Pengerang?
"Isn't it now during MCO ordinary people can't even eat out at restaurants? Is it because of (his) minister (status)?" Akmal tweeted.
Malaysiakini has reached out to Azmin's aides and is awaiting a response.
Earlier, Bernama reported the senior minister participated in a mosque clean up at Kampung Bukit Raja Darat, Sungai Rengit, Pengerang.
He also reportedly announced an emergency allocation of RM100,000 for maintenance to the drainage system in Pengerang, said to be the cause of flooding earlier this month.
