PETALING JAYA: Only five districts in Peninsular Malaysia are Covid-19 green zones following the recent spike in cases.
A green zone is where there are no active Covid-19 cases.
According to a health ministry infographic, the five green zone districts are Jerantut and Lipis in Pahang, Langkawi (Kedah), Jeli (Kelantan) and Hulu Terengganu (Terengganu).
“The virus is in the community. Limit movements and avoid crowded and cramped places.
“Spend more time at home if there is no need to go out,” said the ministry in a Facebook post.
The infographic also shows that there are 63 red zone areas with more than 40 active cases.
The worst-hit district is Klang which has 4,091 active cases, followed by Hulu Langat (2,009), Johor Bahru (1,762), and Muar (1,610).
As of yesterday, there were 26,185 active cases nationwide.
To date, a total of 133,559 infections and 542 fatalities have been recorded. - FMT
