GEORGE TOWN: A massage therapist who mocked the Muslim call to prayer was arrested when she was called for questioning by police on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old spa worker, who went on a rant on Facebook on Monday, had likened the azan to dogs howling, and inserted emojis of pigs and dogs.

Central Seberang Perai police chief Shafee Abd Samad said four reports were lodged against her.

He said two mobile phones belonging to the woman were seized by police in their investigations into her actions for causing disharmony and abusing internet services under Section 298A of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. - FMT
