Malaysian investigators objected as Ng already charged here for 1MDB
Yesterday I asked why Tim Leissner and Roger Ng were not charged and tried here in Malaysia. Last nite a friend sent an old news report (from Oct 2021) which talks about Roger Ng's extradition to the US. First here is the news :

KL (Oct 26 2021): trial of Goldman Sachs' Roger Ng in US for 1MDB on hold until at least April 2022, the High Court here was told on Tuesday.
Ng is facing four charges in Malaysia and is currently extradited to the US while awaiting his trial for conspiring to launder money and bribe government officials in Malaysia and Abu Dhabi through bond offerings that Goldman Sachs handled.
Ng's case in the US is still ongoing.

May 2019, Roger pleaded not guilty at Federal Court in Brooklyn, New York.

He was extradited to New York from KL
Ng initially fought extradition but later volunteered to go

Sept 4 2021 M'sian govt dropped charges against Goldman
settlement of almost US$4b but charges against Ng stood
