In a Facebook post on Monday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob called on Muslims to read and understand the essence of the Quran so that they will be placed among the pious.
The holy month of Ramadan is one of the best times for Muslims to understand the contents of the holy book in living life as a servant of Allah SWT, he added.
Nuzul Al-Quran marks when the first verse of the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad on 17 Ramadan, a Friday night, in the cave of Hira near Mecca on his 41st birthday. - Star
