JUALAN VAPE DAPAT DUIT BESAR RM2.7 BILLION !!

 Kononnya hanya 70% peratus orang yang hisap VAPE adalah Melayu. Saya kurang yakinlah dengan angka-angka macam ini. Saya belum pernah nampak Cina atau India hisap vape. Yang saya nampak semua Melayu. Eloklah itu. Biar Melayu dulu.

RM2.7 Billion is a lot of money. My question remains the same:

1. who are the lucky devils who get the license to import the vape stuff?
2. is this a monopoly license where one big shark is the sole importer?
3. or is it an oligopoly where a few big sharks are licensed to import?
3. or is this an open market situation where anyone can import ? 

My close buddy who sent me the above graphic added:  'itu lah he couldnt give clear answer in parliament, beating around the bush.'

The suggestion that half the taxes collected from the vape industry could be channelled to the Ministry of Health to help treat the higher health risks arising from vape are just too imbecilic to even comment upon.

Imagine a father telling his son, 'Here son, I have bought a motorbike for you. But I am not buying you a crash helmet. In case you crash the bike, I can use the money I save from not buying a crash helmet for your medical bills.'

It also exhibits a clear lack of understanding of how the gomen works. Any and all revenues collected by the gomen (all sorts of taxes, levies, duties, stamping fees, Police compounds, Court fines, passport fees etc) are collected in the general account of the treasury. The 'general ledger' so to speak. The federal gomen has one big account to collect all its revenue.

From there the money is channelled to the various ministries as per the annual Budget which must be approved by Parliament. 

There is no such thing as 30% of motorcar taxes shall be channelled to the Ministry of Transport, 25% of duties collected at the airports shall be channelled to the Ministry of Tourism etc.

So just making off the cuff statements like that is not a clever thing to do - even for a blogger like me.

Having said that have the paddy farmers (the poor pesawah) been paid any part of that RM10 Million they were promised for December 2022?

Rice importer billionaire agreed to pay RM60 million for the benefit of the poor pesawah padi. RM10 million payable in December 2022 and the remaining RM50 million payable I dont know when. 

But has that RM10 million been paid in December 2022?
