Three-cornered fight for Pelangai

BENTONG: The nomination centre for the Pelangai state by-election closed at 10am on Saturday (Sept 23), after being open for an hour since 9am.

Bernama reported that the by-election would be a three-cornered fight involving Barisan Nasional, Perikatan Nasional and Independent candidates.

The nomination for candidates was held at Dewan Orang Ramai Felda Kemasul.

The by-election is being held following the death of assemblyman, Datuk Seri Johari Harun, 53, in a plane crash in Shah Alam, Selangor on Aug 17.

Polling for the by-election is on Oct 7.
