Cops search for suspect after man dies in brawl

PETALING JAYA:

Police are looking for a suspect in connection with the murder of a 29-year-old man at Km12 Jalan Trans Perak near Felcra Changkat Lada in Perak this morning.

Perak Tengah police chief Hafezul Helmi Hamzah said they were alerted to the incident at about 5.50am after the victim was allegedly stabbed during a brawl.

The victim was taken to a clinic, where he was confirmed dead.

The suspect fled the scene in a black Proton Wira with the registration number WGX 3707, said Hafezul in a statement.

“Police are tracking down the suspect and conducting further investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.”

He said police were seeking the assistance of Farizzal Fazly Zulkifly, 29, whose last known address was Kampung Guntur Tengkek, 72200 Batu Kikir, Negeri Sembilan.
