The victim was hit by a single gunshot to his right hand.

PETALING JAYA: A 38-year-old man was injured after he was shot by a masked man while walking towards his vehicle in Batu Kawan, Penang.
The incident occurred after the victim visited a shop at the Sri Tambun commercial area in Simpang Ampat this morning, Sinar Harian reported.
The gunshot hit the victim in his right hand. He was taken to hospital for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.
Police are investigating the motive behind the incident and tracking down the suspect, who fled immediately after the shooting.
Penang police chief Dennis Lim confirmed the incident and said Seberang Perai Selatan police chief Jay January Siowou would issue a statement soon. - FMT
