The former human resources minister arrived at about 8.25am in a crisp white shirt, black suit and sunglasses.
Addressing members of the media and supporters, Saravanan said: “The rakyat knows what’s happening”, before walking into the building.
Crowds of supporters began gathering outside the court building as early as 7.51am, with their numbers reaching up to 70 by the time Saravanan arrived.
MIC president SA Vigneswaran was also seen arriving at about 8.40am in support of his deputy.
Saravanan is scheduled to be charged with corruption at the Kuala Lumpur sessions court.
He has denied committing any wrongdoing throughout his tenure as human resources minister from March 2020 to November 2022. - FMT
