RM9.25m collected for Najib; Zahid urges Indian-based parties to be in one voice

• Over RM9 million has been collected by the fundraiser to help former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak pay his SRC International fine so he can undergo house arrest.
  
  BN chief Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that as of 10am today, RM9.25 million has been raised.
  
  “This is not enough to meet the RM50 million target.
  
  “Efforts are being made to increase the crowdfunding, and I hope that our friends will help us soon so the target set by the Appeal’s Board can be met and the condition for house arrest is fulfilled,” he told a press conference today.

• Earlier, Zahid urged all Indian-based parties that were “Friends of BN”, together with BN component MIC, to speak in one voice on issues affecting the Indian community.
  

  

  
  “When we’re talking about Indian issues, do not have any differences between political parties in BN.
  
  “Be in one voice to fight for the Indian community, under the BN banner,” he said at the opening of Makkal Sakti Party’s annual general meeting (above) today.
  
  Zahid also lauded Makkal Sakti president RS Thanenthiran for being a “loyal friend” of not only BN but also Najib. - Mkini
