Speculation is rife that MCA vice-president Chew Mei Fun will be picked as the BN candidate to battle Anwar Ibrahim in the Kajang by-election.
Speaking to Malaysiakini, Selangor MCA leader Donald Lim confirmed that Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin will announce the candidate this afternoon.
"Yes, it is true," he said when asked if the announcement would be made today.
However, Lim, who is MCA's Kajang by-election chairperson, refused to name the candidate.
