KUALA LUMPUR - A female comedian who was a cast in Seputeh MP Teresa Kok's controversial video was called in by the police to assist in a probe into the case today.
Kuala Lumpur deputy CID chief ACP Khairi Ahrasa said the actress was asked to meet investigators to have a statement recorded.
It is learnt that the comedian who acts in a local sitcom which has since been suspended by RTM as a result of the controversial video was identified as Lim Jing Miao.
Police have also interviewed several of Teresa Kok's office staff since the probe kicked off.
Although Khairi did not say if police will wrap up investigations soon, Kuala Lumpur police chief senior DCP Mohmad Salleh said last Thursday that police are expected to wrap up the probe by this week and hand over their findings to the Attorney-General Chambers.
Mohmad had also said that Teresa will be called up by the police if there was a need for her statement.
Teresa, Lim and two others were part of a comedy sketch that joked about several issues in the country including the education system and the security in Sabah.
The video left certain quarters incensed, prompting them to lodge more than 90 police reports.
Soon after, police initiated a probe into the video for sedition. - The Sundaily
