Yammy Samat, mother of DAP's Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud, is unfazed by calls from a coalition of Umno bloggers who today repeated calls for her sacking.
The group is upset at Yammy, who is an Umno member, for campaigning for her daughter who contested in the Teluk Intan by-election under DAP's banner against BN.
"It is up to the Umno supreme council to decide my position, it is up to them," she told Malaysiakini.
Yammy reiterated her stance that she will remain in Umno.
"But if the Umno supreme council doesn't want me any more, then there is nothing more I can do," she said.
Umno Youth exco member Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz today became the first ranking member in Umno to call for Yammy's sacking, two days after BN recaptured the Teluk Intan parliamentary seat.
Tun Faisal who is a leading Umno blogger today issued a statement which was endorsed by 44 other pro-BN bloggers, accusing Yammy of being a "traitor".
