Hudud disagreements aside, PAS is reaching out to its Pakatan partners in Selangor and Penang to get flood aid for Kelantan.
"I have contacted Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali, to ask for aid as a mark of solidarity.
"Alhamdulillah the Selangor government has agreed, and the amount of aid may be announced in the next one or two days," PAS vice president Husam Musa said in a statement.
Husam, who is also Salor assemblyperson, said he also tried to get in touch with Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, however the DAP secretary-general was still overseas.
Selangor is led by PKR while DAP leads the Penang government.
The flood is the worst in 10 years, displacing at least 26,000 people and killing three people in Kelantan, according National Security Council (MKN).
Husam, who visited the Kota Darulnaim flood relief centre yesterday said water levels at all major rivers in the state have risen significantly.
As at 11am, water levels at Tualang Krai is at cautionary level, Jenob at warning levels while Tangga Krai, Jambatan Guillemard, Tamabatan diRaja have entered the danger zone. Pasir Putih is nomal.
Besides Kelantan, several other states have also been inundated by floods, with 60,000 people now in evacuation centres.
Other affected states are Terengganu, Pahang, Perak and Perlis. - M'kini
