ALOR SETAR – Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah (pic) was only doing a follow-up check at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital here and was not admitted, said his press secretary Nahar Tajri.
“What happened was that the Mentri Besar went to the hospital by himself to check on his current health status, that’s all,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.
Nahar said Ahmad Bashah is currently on vacation with his family out of the state to celebrate Aidiladha.
He said Ahmad Bashah was only complying with doctors’ orders to rest and not to meet many people to prevent infection following a minor surgery in June.
