Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) football players will receive a ring worth RM85,000 each as a token of appreciation for retaining the Super League title for three consecutive seasons.
In a statement on the club’s official Facebook page, it was announced that all members of the Southern Tiger's management team would also receive a ring each.
"This is a gold and platinum ring studded with diamonds and sapphires worth RM85,000.
"Each ring would be presented to JDT players, management and staff for the club's success as Super League champions for three consecutive seasons," read the statement.
Aside from the Super League, JDT season also emerged as champions of Piala Sumbangsih and the FA Cup.
The team, however, failed to make the cut for the Malaysia Cup and AFC Cup 2016.
According to the statement, the ring would also serve as a memento of the team’s success, marking a significant achievement in the Southern Tiger’s history. - Mkini
