The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) arrested a top-ranking civil servant with the title “Datuk” from his house in USJ Subang Jaya this morning for alleged corruption, The Star Online reported.
The 59-year-old secretary-general of a federal ministry was suspected of having abused his power and position since 2010 to solicit for bribes.
The Star report said initial investigations showed the suspect had a direct hand in appointing contractors, suppliers and vendors with vested interest.
