PORT DICKSON: A Nigerian student is believed to have choked to death early today.
The incident is said to have occurred after he participated in a bread-eating competition during the birthday celebration of a friend at a hotel here, police said.
Port Dickson police chief Supt Zainudin Ahmad said Borokinni, 32, had taken part in the competition about 1.30am.
“After the competition, the student of a private college in Selangor ran to the rear of the hotel, vomited and lost consciousness.
“His friends rushed him to hospital.
“Doctors pronounced him dead due to asphyxia, secondary to choking,” he said in a statement. - FMT
