KUALA LUMPUR: The Alor Star's Employees Provident Fund (EPF) office will be temporarily closed in light of the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).
The EMCO was put in place to stop the spread of Covid-19 in the Kota Setar district, Kedah, effective today to Sept 25.
Due to the branch's closure, all prior Janji Temu Online (JTO) appointments at the Alor Star office would be cancelled with immediate effect and members who have made appointments to visit the office during the EMCO period would have to reschedule their appointments to a later date.
Also, members and employers are urged to instead go for the EPF's online services, i-Akaun (Member) and the i-Akaun (Employer), which are operating normally.
Payment for contributions by employers can still be made through the internet banking or over-the-counter at registered bank agents and most importantly, members and employers are strictly advised to obtain information only from the EPF's official sites.
For further clarifications, members can contact the Contact Management Centre at 03-8922 6000. - NST
