New industrial areas identified in Klang, Kuala Langat, Sepang

Malaysiakini

Invest Selangor is in the process of changing the status of several areas in Selangor that have the potential to be developed into new industrial areas.
Its chief executive officer, Hasan Azhari Idris (above) said several areas in the Klang, Kuala Langat, and Sepang districts have been identified as new industrial areas in collaboration with private developers.
“This is the best time to start planning to receive potential new investment inflows when the economy recovers after the Covid-19 pandemic ends," he said in an interview on Bernama TV's “Ruang Bicara” last night.
Hasan said these areas will cater to the demand for industrial development due to their strategic proximity to ports and airports in the state.
“We will continue to position Selangor as the leading business destination in Malaysia and will not stop planning for opportunities despite the Covid-19 challenge,” he said.
On the adoption of e-commerce by Malaysian entrepreneurs, Hasan said a significant increase could be seen since the movement control order was enforced on March 18.
He hopes all small and medium enterprises could seize the opportunities provided by the government to explore the wider market through economic digitisation.
