Putrajaya lifts administrative enhanced MCO on two zones in Kedah

COVID-19 | The administrative enhanced movement control order (MCO) on two zones in Aman Jaya, Kedah, will be lifted effective this midnight.

They are the Kenanga and Mawar zones, which are two of three areas under the administrative enhanced MCO.

The Melor zone will continue to be under the restriction until Sept 27 following 12 positive Covid-19 cases detected in the second test.

In making the announcement, Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the administrative enhanced MCO in the Melor zone will involve 609 houses with an estimated 2,529 residents.

The decision to lift the restriction on the Kenanga zone came after zero cases were recorded from the second test conducted on Sept 9, while for the Mawar zone there was only one positive case detected, he said in a statement today.

The patient had been admitted to the quarantine centre, Ismail added. 

Putrajaya had announced the implementation of the administrative enhanced MCO on these three zones on Aug 27. - Mkini
