COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 2,468 new Covid-19 cases as of noon today. Only four are imported from overseas.
Cases in the Klang Valley still make up most of the country's new cases (1,091 cases; 44.2 percent), but cases in Selangor (932 cases) have been in the triple-digits for the third consecutive day instead of being in the thousands like in the weeks prior.
Penang registered 155 cases today, marking the fourth consecutive day of growth in new cases.
Other states and territories that have recorded triple-digit figures are: Johor (428), Perak (308), Kuala Lumpur (155), Sarawak (133), and Negeri Sembilan (100).
Most of the new cases involve Malaysian citizens (1,549 cases; 62.9 percent).
Cases in prisons and immigration detention facilities account for 175 (7.1 percent) of the new cases, particularly the Tembok Bendera cluster (107 cases) involving a prison in Batu Gajah, Perak.
Overall, no states or territories have their case numbers in the thousands. The number of active cases and cases in intensive care has also fallen to its lowest level in weeks.
A total of 4,055 people have recovered from the infection and have been discharged today, outpacing the number of new cases.

Intubated: 92
