KLANG: The Selangor state government welcomes its new state secretary on Wednesday (Feb 3).
Datuk Nor Azmie Diron (pic), who was the former state finance officer, replaces Datuk Mohd Amin Ahmad Ahya upon the latter's early retirement.
Mohd Amin was scheduled to retire on March 31 this year.
Mohd Amin had helmed the position since Dec 2015.
According to a statement issued by Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari's office, Nor Azmie joined the Malaysian civil service in 1995 as an administrative and diplomatic officer.
It is yet to be announced as to whom will replace Noor Azmie as the state's finance officer.
Amirudin thanked Mohd Amin for his service as the state secretary.
"His leadership and experience, especially in the management of the recent Covid-19 pandemic, will always be remembered and appreciated by the state's civil servants," added Amirudin. - Star
