Seven Perak J&T workers apologise for violent sorting of parcels

This videograb shows the seven workers apologising.

KUALA LUMPUR: Seven workers from the Perak J&T Express (J&T) logistics company have apologised for throwing packages around.

A video of the incident went viral recently in which several men were seen amidst piles of parcels said to be at a J&T Express hub, throwing customers' packages on the ground.

In a statement of apology, J&T Express Malaysia described what happened as "violent sorting of packages".

The seven workers appeared in a 57-second video uploaded on J&T Express Malaysia-Perak's Facebook page, in which they apologised over what happened.

"We want to clarify that there is no action involving a strike here. Once again we apologize for affecting the name of the company and the goods of Malaysian customers.

"We will do our best to process and deliver customers' packages as soon as possible," he said.

Earlier in a statement, J&T Vice President Jason Ren said employees had resumed normal working status as of Feb 5 and had actively sorted and processed the packages of customers. - NST
