PETALING JAYA: The health ministry reported 121 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, according to its GitHub database.
Of the total, 28 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID). The death toll now stands at 26,456.
Most of the fatalities were recorded in Sarawak with 25 deaths, followed by Johor (17), Sabah (17), Selangor (15), Kelantan (15), Perak (seven), Kuala Lumpur (seven), Penang (six), Kedah (six), Perlis (three), Terengganu (two) Negeri Sembilan (two) and Pahang (one).
There were no deaths reported in Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Labuan and Putrajaya.
As of midnight, there were 160,413 active cases, including 900 in intensive care units (ICU), 488 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 15,891 recoveries reported.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 2,257,584. - FMT
