Indonesian man arrested after allegedly killing wife with wrench

 

The suspect admitted to hitting his wife on the head with an adjustable wrench, according to the police.

PETALING JAYA: Police arrested an Indonesian man after he allegedly murdered his wife by hitting her on the head with a wrench at Taman Damai Utama, Bandar Kinrara in Puchong, on Dec 16.

Serdang district police chief AA Anbalagan said the 27-year-old suspect was arrested at a house in Batu Gajah, Perak, yesterday afternoon.

He said the suspect admitted to hitting his wife on the head with an adjustable wrench. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, Kosmo reported.

“The incident occurred as a result of a fight between the suspect and the victim after the victim sent her family RM6,000 from their joint savings account without the suspect’s knowledge,” he added.

According to Anbalagan, the suspect fled the scene after the incident. He said police later found the couple’s four children, aged between six months and five years, near the deceased when they arrived at the scene a few hours later.

“Preliminary investigations found that the victim suffered an injury to the back of her head, which caused her death at the scene,” he was quoted as saying by Kosmo.

“With the help of a police team from the Batu Gajah police station, a 27-year-old Indonesian man was arrested after being suspected of being involved in the case.”

Police arrest suspect in Chemor murder case

Meanwhile in Chemor, Ipoh, police arrested a man believed to have killed an unemployed man under police probation – who was found dead in front of his house in Taman Klebang Putra, Chemor, on Dec 30.

Perak police chief Yusri Hassan Basri said investigation papers have been opened under Section 302 of the Penal Code, Bernama reported.

“The police have apprehended the suspect believed to be involved in the murder of a 37-year-old man and are tracking his other accomplices,” he was quoted as saying.

The murder victim died at the scene of the crime at 11.28pm on Friday, and an autopsy conducted by the forensics department at the Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun confirmed the cause of death to be multiple blunt force trauma. - FMT
