PETALING JAYA: A Foodpanda rider, who alleged that his salary had been slashed, said today he had settled the matter after a meeting with the company.
In a 43 second video which made the rounds, Saifuddin Mustofa also apologised to customers whose orders were not delivered, describing it an oversight.
“I met with Foodpanda to seek an explanation as to why my salary was cut and my ID suspended,” he said. “All has been settled.” He gave no details but also thanked those who had come to his aid.
Foodpanda confirmed the meeting with Saifuddin and the authenticity of the video.
Saifuddin’s plight went viral after he posted an emotional video saying that his salary was cut from RM800 to RM500 and that he was also suspended as a rider for three days.
He claimed that he had emailed Foodpanda to ask about the salary cut and suspension and was told he had been suspended as there were too many cancelled orders.
The video got the attention of Selangor menteri besar Amirudin Shari and human resources minister V Sivakumar instructed his aide to contact Foodpanda over the matter.
Foodpanda previously stated that Saifuddin’s salary was withheld over his failure to deliver orders on several occasions. - FMT
