Muda hopes to hold a meeting with the Pakatan Harapan leadership soon to discuss arrangements for the upcoming state elections.
Its secretary-general, Amir Hariri Abd Hadi, said the meeting is crucial to sort out various issues, including the use of logos during the polls.
"We hope there will be talks at the supreme council level of both Harapan and Muda to finalise details ahead of the state elections," Astro Awani quoted Amir Hariri as telling reporters after attending a buka puasa event in Ipoh, last night.
Last month, Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman called on Harapan to end its months-long wait for an answer on whether the party can join the coalition.
He said that the party had already sent three letters to Harapan on the matter but had not heard from the latter.
Syed Saddiq stressed that Muda had been loyal to Harapan chief Anwar Ibrahim prior to, during, and after the election, and was not gunning for an alliance for the sake of getting government positions.
Meanwhile, Amir Hariri said that Muda has conducted a series of internal workshops to prepare the party to face the state polls. - Mkini
