MACC has summoned Human Resources Minister V Sivakumar to have his statement recorded in connection with its graft probe on migrant worker approvals.
He reportedly went to the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at 10am today to answer questions regarding the case, which saw two of the minister's aides arrested earlier this week.
A Human Resources Ministry source confirmed with Malaysiakini that Sivakumar had turned up to give his statement at around 10am.
MACC chief Azam Baki also confirmed to Bernama that the graft buster had questioned the minister.
It was believed that the minister was summoned to facilitate the investigation into graft allegations that also involved a migrant worker recruitment agency.
The anti-graft agency's probe has brought investigators to raid the ministry office in Putrajaya on Thursday, where MACC also arrested a senior officer to the DAP minister.
A day later, MACC nabbed Sivakumar's private secretary in connection with the graft probe. She was remanded to facilitate the investigation. - Mkini
