Someone sent this to me. This is the never ending, perpetual problem. And yet some folks want to show the way forward for the rest of the world. Here it is :
You can hate me all you want but this needs to be said.
Surely Muslims are more advanced in sciences and technology to be able to determine how the lunar system works and not rely on traditional methods like moon sighting to celebrate Eid.
My mom asked me to cook pulut kuning tonight. I told her what if they cant sight the moon tonight? My pulut would not be fresh on Saturday.
Besides, my children booked their flight back to KL on Saturday.
My brother needs to drive down on Friday or Saturday?
Our open house on 1st day Raya is which date do we tell the caterers? Or just do it on 23rd April.
People need to plan a lot of things. Like cooking, travelling, work, holidays, flight tickets, etc etc..... and we have to still rely on moon sightings by telescope? This is 2023. Not year 770.
The Chinese Lunar Calendar says today the 20th April is already a new month.

My mum-in-law has settled the issue. Moon or no moon, our Raya lunch will be on Saturday. So the kids and grandkids can adjust accordingly.
And yet there are many who claim that indeed they are the showpiece for the entire world. "We will save the world". But you cannot even agree on what is the date tomorrow? How are you going to save the world? You may not even arrive on the same day in your efforts to save the world.
'Hello, we have safely arrived on this 1st day of the month to save you'.
"Err...but today is already the 2nd day of the month bro. You are already late."
Ok now lets listen to this guy. He is trying to clear something up as well.
Well I hope that cleared things up a little more.
