Congrats To Menteri KDN Saifuddin Nasution. Syabas. One Problem Solved. Hello Zambry Kadir Are The Malaysian Embassies Overseas Hanky Panky Pula?

I am beginning to like Saifuddin Nasution the Minister of Home Affairs. He seems to be honest and straight forward. Here he is in the latest press briefing today where they seem to have sorted out that scheme or scam to fleece foreign travellers who may have travel documentation issues.

If the video is not visible here is the YouTube link:

Ok so now (this is exactly what I suggested the other day in this blog) the airline companies will be responsible to feed, house and then send back any foreigners who are denied entry by the Immigration fellows.

This is a very good decision because this is what other countries around the world have been doing. If the airline company flies in a passenger who has incomplete or bad travel documents then it is the responsibility of the airline company to fly the passenger back, including paying for the passengers food and lodging while his return is being sorted out.

Here is my further advice to the Minister Saifuddin Nasuition. Surely the crooked fellows (there will always be many, many, many of them around) will already start plotting and scheming how to abuse these new rules to make money again.  So please put on your thinking cap and be PROACTIVE TO ANTICIPATE how the corrupted and the crooks will try to take advantage of these new rules to make money for themselves.

Here is my very strong advise to Saifuddin : TREAT THEM AS GUILTY FIRST UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE.

Someone else has pointed out earlier (the Singh Bhai from Puchong, I lost the link to your video) that when foreigners apply for visas at our Malaysian Embassies overseas they are required to show proof of a return ticket.

Here is the proof from the Jabatan Imigresen website:

So when the foreigners apply for VISAs at the Malaysian Embassies overseas (including that Chinese woman) for Social Visits they must already have shown the RETURN TICKET to the embassy or the consular office.

Then why did the Imigresen fellows stop that Chinese woman at the KLIA when she must already have shown her return ticket to the Visa office at the Malaysian Embassy or Consul in China.

The Malaysian Embassy or Consular Office in China would not have issued the Visa to her without seeing 'Original and two (2) photocopies of the return ticket'.

So now this becomes a question for my old friend Foreign Minister Zambry Kadir. What is going on at our Embassies and Consular offices overseas?

Are you suggesting that the Malaysian embassies can issue Visas to foreign travellers without making sure they have return tickets? Is there hanky panky going on? Are they taking bribes at our missions overseas?

So brader Zambry you need to sort this out with our duta fellows overseas. Buat-lah kerja betul-betul.

Ikut lah procedure dengan betul-betul. Kalau tak ada return ticket do not issue Visa.

Anyway to conclude Syabas to Saifuddin Nasution the Minister of Home Affairs for being open and straightforward over this matter. Terima kasih banyak Saifuddin.
