Muda launches election manifesto, to champion 4 agendas

Muda has launched its manifesto for the upcoming six state elections, with four main pillars.

The four pillars are to be ‘pro-rakyat’, be a voice for the youth, digitalise the economy and government services, and preserve the environment.

As Muda is fielding a limited number of candidates, rendering it unable to become a dominant force in any state government that will be formed, its manifesto is geared towards policies that Muda will consistently champion as elected representatives.

Among the promises made in the manifesto is that the party will push for more involvement from the people in policy-making, especially the youth.

They intend to call for local government elections, equal allocations for elected representatives, and the formation of a special youth committee in every constituency.

Empowering youths is also a major focus of the manifesto, such as preparing seed capital for young entrepreneurs and arranging “micro-credentialing” for youths working in informal industries such as the gig economy, content creation, and e-sports.

Muda also wants to prioritise the environment over development, by ensuring environmental protection is embedded in every state development project, among others.

Below is the full Muda manifesto for the upcoming state polls, set for Aug 12.
