Putrajaya MP Radzi Jidin has denied his predecessor Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor's allegations that his service centre was turning away constituents.
In a statement yesterday, Radzi said although he did not receive federal funds, his service centre - dubbed Putrajaya Care - was fully operational.
"There is a lot of support from our comrades and civil servants... which has helped us to provide services for the people of Putrajaya," said Radzi on his Facebook page last night.
Radzi also urged Putrajaya Umno division deputy chief Ahmad Faisal Abdul Karim to ensure Tengku Adnan pays the RM50,000 awarded by the court in an unsuccessful election petition.
"Every sen from the RM50,000 will be channelled to Putrajaya Care," said Radzi.
Faisal's petition to nullify Radzi's election was dismissed in March. The appeal to the Federal Court was also dismissed.
In all, the courts ruled that Faisal had to pay Radzi RM50,000 in legal costs.
Yesterday, Tengku Adnan, who is Umno treasurer, claimed Putrajaya voters have complained to him that they are unable to meet Radzi.
In view of this, he urged voters in the upcoming state elections to vote wisely. - Mkini
