JOHOR BARU: A motorcyclist braved fast-rising floodwaters to clear a blocked drain beneath the Taman Perling flyover in Johor Baru.

The man was seen walking through floodwater along Jalan Skudai beneath the flyover after heavy rain caused flash floods in several parts of the city.

Footage recorded by a passing motorist showed him clearing rubbish and debris from the drain before it was shared on social media.

Several netizens praised the man, saying his actions helped clear the obstruction and allowed the stagnant floodwater to drain more quickly.
