The new route is expected to benefit travellers and boost Miri’s connectivity with the Klang Valley.

Deputy tourism, arts and culture minister Chiew Choon Man said the service would benefit those travelling for work, business, education, medical treatment and family commitments, The Borneo Post reported.
Chiew, who is also the Miri MP, said the route would not only offer more flight options but also strengthen Miri’s connectivity with one of the country’s main economic centres.
“The route will provide added convenience as Subang Airport is closer to Kuala Lumpur city centre and surrounding areas,” he said.
He added that improved air connectivity could benefit the business and tourism sectors while making travel between Miri and the Klang Valley more convenient.
Chiew expressed hope that the route would receive strong support and remain sustainable in the long-term. - FMT
