1MDB money in PM’s account - will Najib sue Dr M?

YOURSAY ‘Even Umno members do not believe an Arab had donated RM2.6b.’
Res Ipsa: It should not be that difficult to establish the money trail from 1MDB if the relevant investigators are given the space to do so with zero interference from the executive.
Now that the investigations have been stifled locally, it does not mean this is the end of the story.
The pieces of the jigsaw would still fall in place once the respective overseas jurisdictions such as Switzerland and Singapore have concluded their own investigations into the money trail and reveal their findings.
That will be the day of reckoning for the PM.
Bluemountains: Former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad said RM2.6 billion in PM Najib Razak's personal bank account is linked to 1MDB.
Najib has no other choice but to sue Dr M. But will Najib be brave enough to do so? Or will Najib ask his lawyers to seek a second opinion overseas before deciding?
Anonymous 560221439180274: Would this man (Mahathir) allow anyone to express or verbalise one's thoughts during his time?
Why is he causing so much of trouble when there is so much to be sorted out politically and economically?
He is so engrossed in bringing down Najib that he has been ignoring the fate of ordinary Malaysians and the sentiments of foreign investors. How long is he going to continue doing this?
Wira: Mahathir, you are correct. No one with a sane mind believes that someone in Saudi Arabia would donate RM2.6 billion to the PM and in his personal name.
Moreover, where the bulk of that money, supposedly for Umno, went after the 13th general election?
Onyourtoes: All of us should be ashamed to let a 90-year-old man to ask penetrating questions on our behalf.
Yes DPM Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, you should answer Mahathir. I think the PM does not deserve your undivided loyalty. Do it now before you dig yourself a bigger hole.
I have never for minute believed that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) was bold and independent enough in their investigation despite whatever they have gone through recently.
Malaysians who now think MACC will do the job for us are nincompoops.
Mushiro: Zahid said he has seen the Arab who gave the RM2.6 billion donation to Najib but he would not reveal the details that Mahathir asked for as he would be trapped by his own lies.
He is bold enough to claim he has seen the Arab donor but scared to provide more details.
Knowing Zahid, who was prepared to write a support letter for alleged international criminal Paul Phua, it is not surprising what Zahid will do for Najib.
Restless: Dr M, have you ever given a thought how our administration has come to such a degrading level today?
It's amazingly absurd we have people of such calibre to administer our country. Once upon a time, race relation was good and there was mutual respect among Malaysians. Now I dare not imagine.
Hot Khong: Dr M, I agree with your sentiments about Zahid and the rubbish that his ilk is spewing. But you're just a pot calling the kettle black.
You "created" this kind of trash during your years in power and now you get to experience the outcome. Unfortunately, we, too, have to experience the same, no thanks to you.
Turvy: If a party that has been in power for so long, having its roots spread across the nation and wielding such power as Umno does, cannot deal with one miscreant member hiding behind a barricade of lies, then it is time for some serious re-examination of the party.
Maybe what appears as an aberration is really the party's ethos. The cancer is in the principle, not the man.
Mushiro: The first and last possibility of the source of the RM2.6 billion that was banked into Najib's personal bank account is the one and only 1MDB kitty.
Even Umno members do not believe that an Arab had donated the money but they decided to go along with this stupid story as Najib wanted it that way.
Pahatian: If Abraham Lincoln were to be alive today and on an official visit to Malaysia, he would have said to the PM:
"You can fool all the people some of the time, some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time." -Mkini
