KUCHING - A Maswings plane from Miri to Mukah skidded off the runway during landing on Wednesday around 2.10pm.
None of the 10 on board flight MH3553, including crew members, were injured, according to an early Fire and Rescue Department report.
The aircraft apparently skidded due to bad weather.
The Fire and Rescue Department received the first call at 2.11pm.
Upon arriving, the four-member rescue crew saw the plane, a DHC-6 Series 400 with a 19-passenger capacity, on the grass off the left side of the runway.
Maswings has yet to respond to queries.
The Malaysia Airlines subsidiary currently operates about 900 flights weekly to various destination in Borneo. - Asiaone
