And unless the MACC comes out to confirm that Apandi is not a crook then we must assume he is a crook just like we assume that Gani is a crook since the MACC never came out to confirm he is not a crook for the last 14 years since 1st January 2002.

Khairuddin Abu Hassan wants the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to launch an investigation into whether the appointment of Mohd Apandi Ali as the new Attorney General (AG) to replace Abdul Gani Patail was an act of corruption or not. (SEE NEWS ITEM BELOW)

As a responsible Malaysian and someone who is merely concerned about the country and nothing more than that, Khairuddin wants to make sure that Apandi’s appointment was not for the same reason as to why Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad appointed Gani as the AG.

In Gani’s case, his appointment as AG was to reward him for fixing up Anwar Ibrahim on fabricated charges of corruption and sodomy. Gani also helped the then IGP, Abdul Rahim Mohd Noor — who handcuffed and blindfolded Anwar and then beat him up to the point of death (according to what the doctor said in her testimony in court) — to escape punishment.

They first advised Dr Mahathir to announce to the world that Anwar was safe and well and was untouched and unharmed. When it was later discovered that that was not quite true and that Anwar had been badly beaten and was denied medical treatment, they advised Dr Mahathir to announce to the world that Anwar had beaten himself up. So it was self-inflicted.

How Anwar managed to beat himself up when he was handcuffed and lying unconscious on the floor was never explained. The IGP and the team from the AGC knew that most Malaysians are stupid and would believe anything (even believe that RM42 billion had disappeared into thin air) so they would believe that a handcuffed and unconscious person could beat himself up to the point of death.

When the lie could no longer be contained, Rahim was asked to plead guilty and apologise and say that it was his dying mother’s wish that he do so (so he is doing so only to fulfil his dying mother’s wish and not really because he was sorry for what he did). And then Gani arranged for a 60-day jail sentence, which Rahim needed to serve only 40 days (even though you are not normally entitled to a one-third remission for sentences below six months).

According to the opposition, even then Rahim did not need to spend those 40 days in prison. The opposition says they pretended he was in prison whereas he was actually relaxing at a holiday resort somewhere.

But then the opposition could not prove this allegation (like they successfully proved that RM42 billion of 1MDB’s money had disappeared into thin air). So this was probably just another opposition lie (like the lie that Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim was a crook who stole millions of the state’s money).

Anyway, Gani did all sorts of magic tricks and when his boss got a stroke and lingered almost a year before he died, Gani was appointed as the new AG as a reward for all the dirty tricks he did on behalf of the Prime Minister.

Khairuddin probably suspects that this is the same reason why Apandi was appointed as the new AG to replace Gani. So Khairuddin wants the MACC to investigate whether Apandi was appointed the AG for the same reason that Gani was. And this makes sense. If Gani was a crook then there is every chance that Apandi is also a crook.

And unless the MACC comes out to confirm that Apandi is not a crook then we must assume he is a crook just like we assume that Gani is a crook since the MACC never came out to confirm he is not a crook for the last 14 years since 1st January 2002.

Was there corruption in AG’s appointment?

(Free Malaysia Today) – The MACC has been asked to investigate whether any corrupt act was committed when Mohd Apandi Ali was appointed to replace Abdul Gani Patail as Attorney-General last July.

The request was made today in a report lodged by former Batu Kawan Umno deputy chief Khairuddin Abu Hassan at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya.

Speaking to reporters outside the MACC office, Khairuddin said he was urging the anti-graft agency to find out whether “the position of Attorney-General was used as a bribe so that the case against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak would be dropped”.

Last week, Apandi cleared Najib of all suspicions of wrongdoing and instructed the MACC to close cases involving donations banked into the Prime Minister’s personal accounts, namely the RM2.6 billion donation from a Saudi benefactor and RM42 million from SRC International.

Khairuddin said his report also asked the MACC to investigate whether there was any “element of misconduct, abuse of power or criminal negligence” in Apandi’s decision to absolve Najib of guilt.

He accused the Attorney-General of “meddling” with the MACC’s work.

He said Apandi was in no position to conduct the probe into the donation case, let alone make a decision on it, because he was allegedly handpicked by Najib to replace Gani, “who was sacked without any proper basis”.

“There is a conflict of interest here,” he said.

He argued that Apandi should have asked the Solicitor-General to investigate Najib to avoid any conflict of interest. At the very least, he said, Apandi could have formed an independent investigation commission made up of former judges.

“In this case, he carried out the investigation himself and made the decision. That is why I believe that almost 30 million Malaysians have no confidence in any statement made by Apandi.”
