KUALA LUMPUR – Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM) has handed over evidence to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) today over allegation of multi-million ringgit corruption and links of foreign funds to news portals The Malaysian Insight (TMI).
JMM president Datuk Azwanddin Hamzah and his entourage arrived at the BNM headquarters here about 2.30pm.
They spent almost 30-minute inside the premises to surrender their 12-page evidence such as TMI financial transactions and documents to the BNM investigating officers.
When met after the meeting, he urged the relevant agencies to conduct a thorough investigation over the scandal.
“We also will consider to meet related ministers to address this scandal.
“This is a serious issue as it was believed to be involved with foreign funding and corruption,” he said.
Azwanddin claimed that the news portal had undermined the government, defamed the Prime Minister and degraded the Malay rulers.
