PETALING JAYA: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has extended his Chap Goh Meh wishes to the Chinese community.
He said the day marks the culmination of the Lunar New Year celebration on the 15th day.
“Chap Goh Meh is a meaningful date for everyone at all levels of society, the old and young who celebrate it together.
“It is also known as the ‘Chinese Valentine’s Day’,” he said on his Instagram on Friday (Feb 26).
Dr Wee, who is also MCA president, said the day is usually celebrated together with the family by having a meal together.
