The MACC arrested Perak PKR deputy chief MA Thinagaran this morning, according to sources inside the party.
Malaysiakini learnt that the politician was nabbed by anti-graft officers after he presented himself at their office to give a statement.
Sources claimed that Thinagaran (above) was arrested over an investigation into a development project in Perak. However, this has yet to be confirmed as MACC top officials could not be reached at the time of writing.
Malaysiakini understands that MACC investigators had earlier visited Kuala Langat MP Xavier Jayakumar's home in Klang, over a vehicle believed to be connected to the investigation.
