PETALING JAYA: Ten localities in Sabah, one in Pahang and one in Johor will go under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from Aug 27, according to the National Security Council (MKN).
In a statement this evening, MKN director-general Rodzi Md Saad said that in Sabah, Kampung Gading, Kampung Ulu Sapi and the Melia plantation in Telupid will go under EMCO from Aug 27 to Sept 9.
Other areas also under EMCO for the same period will be Beverly Hills Phase 5 and Kampung Nambazan (Penampang), Kampung Lohan Ulu and Kampung Libang (Ranau), Rancangan Batu 22 Apas in Tawau, Kampung Landung Ayang in Kudat and Kampung Pengalat Kecil in Papar.
The Cheekah plantation in Bera, Pahang will also go under EMCO during the same period while Kampung Orang Asli Kuala Masai, Johor Bahru in Johor will go under EMCO from Aug 27 to Sept 8.
Meanwhile, the EMCO at several localities in Sabah will be extended until Sept 9.
The localities are: Kampung Betutai, Kampung Bontoi, Kampung Kindu, Kampung Serusop, Taman Sri Rugading and Taman Telipok Ria (Tuaran), and also Kampung Bergosong and the People’s Housing Project (PPR) in Taman Sri Apas Batu 8 (Tawau).
Meanwhile, the EMCO at several locations in Kelantan and Sabah will be lifted tomorrow.
In Kelantan, this includes three Orang Asli villages at Pos Brooke in Gua Musang – Kampung Jedip WCT, Kampung Seng Sang and Kampung Sendrop.
In Sabah, Rodzi said the EMCO at several locations in Tuaran, Kinabatangan, Tawau, Beluran, Kota Kinabalu, Kota Marudu and Tambunan will also end tomorrow.
The localities include Kampung Bolong Baru, Kampung Sungai Damit and Kampung Simpangan (Tuaran), the Bukit Mas and Linbar 1 plantations (Kinabatangan), Kampung Lahat-Lahat and Kampung Kongsi 8 (Tawau), the Reka Halus and Boustead Trunkline plantation housing areas (Beluran), Kampung Kayu Madang in Kota Kinabalu, Kampung Batition in Kota Marudu and also Kampung Sunburn in Tambunan. - FMT
