PETALING JAYA: Several localities in Sabah and Pahang will go under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from Aug 12 until Aug 25, according to senior minister for security Hishammuddin Hussein.
In a statement this evening, he said that in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, the J&L factory quarters, Kampung Gudon and Kampung Lobou will go under EMCO until Aug 25.
Also in Sabah, eight other localities – Kampung Menunggui, Kota Belud; Kampung Tengah, Kinarut, Papar; Kampung Petagas, Putatan; Kampung Pogunon, Penampang; Kampung Timbua-Kembiroi-Lobou Baru, Ranau; Kampung Batu 1, Sipitang; Kampung Bukit Kukusan, Tawau; and Kampung Batu-Batu, Tenom – will also go under EMCO.
Aside from that, Felda Jengka 25 in Temerloh, Pahang will go under EMCO during the same period.
Meanwhile, the EMCO at several localities in Sabah, Kelantan and Pahang will be extended until Aug 25.
In Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, the EMCO at six localities – Bandar Sierra, Kampung Kalasanan, Kampung Pulau Penampang, Bandaran Segama, Taman Bukit Setia and Taman Putera Jaya – will be extended.
The EMCO at Felda Jengka 7, Maran in Pahang and the Kerilla plantation, Tanah Merah in Kelantan will also be extended until Aug 25.
Meanwhile, Hishammuddin said the EMCO at 21 localities in Sabah across several districts will end tomorrow.
In Kota Kinabalu, the EMCO at Kampung Unggun, Lorong Cina 1, 2 & 3, Kampung Tebobon, Plaza Kingfisher and Polytechnic Commercial Centre will be lifted tomorrow.
In Beaufort, the EMCO at Kampung Lumadan, Kampung Kebulu Petani, Kampung Beaufort Selatan and Taman Arjuna will end tomorrow.
The EMCO at eight localities in Penampang, Sabah, will also end tomorrow – Country Heights Phase 1, 2 & 3 (including shoplots), Cyber City Phase 1, Kampung Nabangkung, Kampung Ramayah, Taman Vista Kiranau, Kampung Sarapung Kolopis, Vista Minitod and Kampung Tuunon.
Meanwhile, the EMCO at three localities in Tawau – Kampung Blok 31, Kampung Tanjung Batu Darat and Kampung Darat Inderasabah – as well as the EMCO at the Tinabau plantation housing in Kinabatangan will also end tomorrow.
In Johor, the EMCO at Kampung Pertanian and Kampung Separa in the Senai subdistrict, Kulai and the Taman Bukit Perdana construction site workers’ dormitory in Kluang will also be lifted tomorrow.
On the arrests, Hishammuddin said the SOP compliance task force ordered 60 premises, comprising businesses, factories and construction sites to close yesterday for failing to comply with SOPs.
He also said 201 people were arrested yesterday over MCO-related offences, 180 of whom were issued compounds and 21 remanded. - FMT
