Various versions of the purported incoming cabinet list have been circulated on social media, but newly-minted Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob cautioned that none of them are true.
He said this was because he has yet to make a decision. However, a new cabinet will be in place this week, he assured.
"Don't believe them. There are many lists of (purported) ministers in the cabinet (circulated on social media). There's one every day.
"Wait for the announcement. There isn't a list yet. I will consider all," he was quoted as saying by Utusan Malaysia in Yan, Kedah, today after visiting flood victims.
Also at the visit was Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.
Ismail Sabri said once he has finalised the list, it will be submitted to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong for his assent.
The Bera MP was sworn in as the ninth prime minister last Saturday, taking over from Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin who lost his majority in the Dewan Rakyat.
A total of 15 out of 38 Umno MPs had withdrawn their support for Muhyiddin's coalition government which comprised Perikatan Nasional, BN, PAS, GPS, PBS, and independent MPs.
However, 14 of the 15 Umno MPs returned to the coalition's fold after it was agreed that Ismail Sabri, who is the Umno vice-president, will take over as the prime minister. - Mkini
