And so has the Cabinet. So who is looking after the Covid 19 pandemic now?
The Agong has given the MPs until 4pm today to submit their choice for Prime Minister. I think only one name is allowed on the ballot. So we should know by tomorrow who shall be the new Prime Minister.
Lets give credit where credit is due. The PM Muhyiddin Yassin willingly resigned after he had lost the majority support in Parliament after the Court Cluster and friends pulled their support. They left through the back door.
He had to resign because that is what the Federal Constitution demands. Once the PM does not have majority support then you are NOT the PM anymore.
Credit and a word of appreciation are due to Tan Sri Muhyiddin who left office with no fuss. He did not say things like 'I will stay as PM for as long as possible' etc. The PM has set a precedent for future PMs who may be in a similar situation (which I think can still happen). If you dont have the majority, then leave.
So now the backdoor has been left open again. And it looks like some people are indeed trying to enter through the backdoor.
Lets see what happens by the end of today. The cut off time is 4PM.
